Critical Environments Operator II

Location: New Albany, Ohio, United States; onsite in a 24/7/365 data center environment

What you will do

• Complete assigned operations and maintenance tasks for data center and other assigned building spaces.
• Track preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance work, labor hours, and work orders in the CMMS.
• Use site operating procedures, including SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs, during facility operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate the safe arrival, access, escort, work-area setup, and departure of contractors and vendors.
• Respond to building system alarms, protect the critical load, minimize equipment damage, and support root cause analysis.
• Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, equipment evaluations, operational modifications, and emergency corrective maintenance.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
• Entry-level electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R skills acquired through an associate degree, technical training, or facility maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of work order control procedures, computerized maintenance management systems, maintenance shop practices, hand tools, and test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment alarms through graphical user interfaces and stabilize system operations until OEM specialists arrive.
• Experience with subcontractor and vendor contract management, key performance indicators, capacity planning, and reporting.
• Availability for onsite 24/7/365 operations, emergency corrective maintenance, and extended hours when required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD.
• Apprentice-level experience with electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.
