Financial Specialist Journeyman (DoD Finance)

What you will do

• Coordinate accounting actions and issues across SOF AT&L program offices, HQ USSOCOM, DFAS, and the 6th Comptroller Squadron.
• Track active, expiring, and expired contract funds and coordinate contract closeout with relevant stakeholders.
• Provide metrics, reconciliation status, closeout reports, and recommended courses of action.
• Execute program budget operations and analyze financial transactions, feasibility, soundness, and regulatory compliance.
• Support unfunded requirements, classified funding portfolios, financial execution analysis, spreadsheets, presentations, and related documentation.
• Prepare funding and procurement documents, maintain execution logs, and manage contract files, cost reports, vouchers, change orders, and vendor correspondence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in DoD financial budgets and/or budget execution.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Knowledge of program planning, scheduling, budget planning and formulation, and cost analysis.
• Experience with financial systems and tools including ABSS, DEAMS, FIS, MOCAS, PBAS, EFD, ARC, ADVANA, CCaR, and GAFS-BQ.
