Designer - Jewelry and Accessories

Location: New York, NY, USA; hybrid work model with overseas travel for trade exhibitions, design research, and product development supervision.

Salary: $86,400–$111,700 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Coordinate and unify the creative execution of jewelry and accessories, including belts, hats, hair accessories, and sun accessories.
• Manage the creative and technical development of products within the merchandise assortment strategy.
• Research seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials, styling, silhouettes, and prints.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, and suppliers to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity.
• Conduct fittings and create design cards for first prototypes with measurements and construction details.
• Develop and approve source materials, trims, lab dips, and fabric or yarn submissions, including through overseas travel.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of design experience with a high taste level and strong creative ability.
• Knowledge of jewelry design, construction, seasonal silhouettes, color trends, and fashion trend research.
• Strong illustration, presentation, organizational, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage, coach, and develop others while working independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• BA in Fashion Design and strong attention to detail with reliable follow-through.
