Director (Fintech)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $192,300–$307,600 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Own the global Flex and Installments product suite, including hirify.global Flexible Credential, hirify.global Installment Credential, hirify.global Installment Solutions, hirify.global Transaction Matching Service, and hirify.global Embedded Credential Platform.
• Drive acceptance growth and improve integrated experiences for token requestors, digital wallets, merchants, cardholders, acquirers, and strategic partners.
• Define product requirements, roadmaps, prioritization, rules, data indicators, mandates, and execution plans from conception through deployment.
• Lead build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions and provide technical vision for resilient, secure, scalable processing platforms.
• Adopt AI-powered and agentic development practices, including automated workflows, intelligent tooling, quality gates, testing frameworks, and release processes.
• Lead and develop squads of 3–6 senior product managers while influencing cross-functional teams across hirify.global’s global regions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Proven product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or technology innovation.
• Deep understanding of network products, payment processing frameworks, rules, platforms, tokenization, and API-based product development.
• Experience managing senior-level product managers and leading complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to drive product growth and adoption for issuers and fintechs, influence across regions, and provide technical guidance on resilience and scalability.
• Ability to work from the Foster City office at least 3 days per week.
