hirify.global is hiring an automation engineering specialist for manufacturing, intralogistics, warehouse distribution, and fulfillment operations.

What you will do

  • Identify automation opportunities that can be standardized and scaled across processes and plants.
  • Assess feasibility and lead automation projects from concept through industrialization, installation, validation, and deployment.
  • Develop and enforce equipment and process standards, including specifications, sourcing, design reviews, run-off, qualification, and installation.
  • Lead deployment of autonomous forklifts, AMRs, goods-to-person systems, robotic picking, and humanoid robotics for warehouse and fulfillment use cases.
  • Integrate mobile robotics and fulfillment automation with WMS, WES, MES, fleet management software, barcode/RFID systems, and plant IT infrastructure.
  • Qualify suppliers, drive performance reviews, support automation issues, coach AME teams, and manage equipment cost estimates and capital planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least five years of industry experience and a demonstrated ability to lead automation projects through implementation.
  • Experience installing and commissioning automated equipment, including robotic assembly cells and test systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, preferably Allen Bradley, plus controls systems, HMI programming, robot cell design, and industrial networking.
  • Experience with autonomous material handling, navigation, traffic management, safety zoning, risk assessment, and integration with warehouse and plant systems.
  • Ability to create two-dimensional CAD layouts, solve technical problems, manage projects, and work with controls and IT teams on network topology.

  • Automotive interiors or seating product experience.
  • Warehouse distribution and fulfillment automation experience.
  • Software or application development experience.
  • Experience evaluating emerging robotics platforms, including humanoid robots.
