Entry-Level Architectural Designer (Revit)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; four days in the office with flexibility to work outside the office on Fridays.

Hourly rate: $27.75–$43 USD

What you will do

• Develop project documents, layouts, drawings, specifications, and technical deliverables under the mentorship of experienced professionals.
• Propose technical solutions to design challenges and contribute to design excellence.
• Conduct design analyses, layout designs, code studies, and basic architectural tasks for small to moderate-sized buildings.
• Apply BIM standards, develop organizational cartoon sets, and coordinate drawings and specifications.
• Execute quality control procedures and resolve clash detection issues.
• Collaborate with project teams to communicate design ideas and support schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Architecture.
• 0–5 years of professional architecture experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and knowledge of Bluebeam or other standard architecture software.
• Strong technical, written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, with the ability to multitask while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Working knowledge of architectural materials, methods, tools, design techniques, and sustainable design principles.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without work visa or residency sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not offered, including for E, F-1/OPT/CPT, TN, J, or H-1B visas, now or in the future.

Nice to have

• LEED AP or other professional certifications.
• Current portfolio or work samples submitted in PDF format.
• Ability to assist with marketing and business development efforts.
