TL;DR
International Trade Analyst (Trade Compliance): Supporting attorneys and clients with U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings, trade compliance analysis, and preparation of regulatory submissions with an accent on sales, cost, subsidy, injury, and trade remedy data. Focus on researching trade regulations, building AD/CVD monitoring systems, analyzing databases and exhibits, and managing multiple projects under competing deadlines.

Location: Washington, D.C., United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year in Washington, D.C., plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

  • Support attorneys and clients on international trade compliance, antidumping, and countervailing duty proceedings.
  • Prepare sales, cost of production, subsidy, and injury responses for AD/CVD proceedings.
  • Help domestic producers develop AD/CVD feasibility studies and petitions.
  • Set up monitoring systems to improve compliance and reduce AD/CVD exposure.
  • Prepare and analyze databases, spreadsheets, exhibits, questionnaire responses, briefs, proposals, and reports.
  • Research trade remedy developments, including Sections 232 and 301, and train clients on trade compliance topics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience with U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings at the Department of Commerce, International Trade Commission, or in the private sector.
  • Strong analytical, research, organizational, problem-solving, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and competing deadlines, exercise discretion, and preserve confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Section 232, Section 301, or other trade remedy proceedings.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
  • Familiarity with Department of Commerce calculations, SAS programming for AD margin calculations, and subsidy-rate methodologies.
