Field Service Engineer II - Augusta, GA

Location: Remote from Augusta, Georgia, United States; up to 90% domestic and occasional international travel with overnight stays.

Salary: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, plus bonus/incentive pay.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments.
• Troubleshoot service issues across one or two instrument groups and support customer needs.
• Complete service administration and documentation in accordance with ISO, FDA, and Leica policies.
• Support service contract sales, system configurations, and upgrades with sales and service teams.
• Provide feedback that improves service revenue and financial performance.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and 3+ years of field service or related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in science and 1+ year of experience; or equivalent military experience.
• Experience working with mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic, or related instruments.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 90%, including overnight stays, and to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and reach regularly.

Nice to have

• Experience diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments.
• Field service engineering or networking/IT system upgrade experience.
• Experience in a laboratory or hospital environment.
