Quality Food Safety Manager

Location: United States (Onsite role in a bakery environment)

Salary: $89,900 – $116,900 per year

What you will do

• Provide leadership and coaching to the Quality Food Safety department to drive a culture of safety and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation programs through regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Lead all third-party audits, including SQF and AIB, and manage corrective actions for non-conformance.
• Promote food safety education and policy enforcement among all bakery associates.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing LEAN tools and 5S practices.
• Maintain proper document control for all bakery quality and safety documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related scientific field.
• 5-7 years of experience leading Quality/Food Safety/Sanitation teams in a high-speed food production environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on associate development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• GFSI (SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000, IFS, etc.), PCQI, Food Defense, and HACCP certifications.
• Experience with 5S and LEAN tools.
