Senior VLSI CAD Engineer

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite at the Milpitas office

Salary: $116,800–$198,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Virtuoso and Customer Compiler interfaces, utilities, CAD workflows, and methodology automation.
• Create and maintain Parameterized Cells (PCells) to improve schematic and layout productivity.
• Develop and maintain Calibre Design Rule Checking (DRC) runsets and ICV Layout vs. Schematic (LVS) runsets.
• Manage layout data and troubleshoot CAD infrastructure issues with IT and design engineers.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with EDA vendors and design/layout teams to meet project schedules.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of VLSI CAD development experience in semiconductor design.
• At least one year of SKILL programming experience for PCell development.
• Proficiency in SKILL, Tcl/Tk, Perl, Python, C/C++, and C-Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Virtuoso, Customer Compiler, Calibre, ICV, strRC, P&R, ERC, EM/IR, PrimeSIM, Spectre, HSPICE, or comparable simulation tools.
• Ability to work onsite at the Milpitas office in California.
