Information Security Manager - Network Security

Location: Remote within the United States or hybrid in Newport News, Virginia.

Salary: $9,700.00–$15,516.67 per month for salaried roles; bonus or incentive plan eligible.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the network security program for endpoints, branches, data centers, and other locations.
• Lead a team of up to six associates responsible for network security operations and after-hours on-call support.
• Maintain strategic roadmaps and oversee firewalls, IDS, IPS, URL filtering, VPN, and related security technologies.
• Lead the design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing support of network security solutions.
• Partner with architecture, engineering, delivery, and operations teams on technology selection, security blueprints, support procedures, and run-book documentation.
• Manage the network security budget, vendor relationships, contracts, and major security projects.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience implementing network defenses, including firewalls, network access control, intrusion detection or prevention, web application firewalls, web gateways, or proxies.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust or Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) network security architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience implementing cloud network security.
• Domain expertise in network security, perimeter defense, cybersecurity, and security architecture.
• Ability to lead, develop, communicate with, and present to teams and stakeholders across the organization.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, manage budgets and vendors, and collaborate with third-party contractors.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Networking, or CISSP.
• Experience with ServiceNow, SharePoint, or Project.
• Knowledge of voice, data, and wireless technologies, as well as interpreting site surveys and drawings.
