IT Senior AWS Developer

What you will do

• Analyze, design, code, debug, test, document, and maintain critical MassHealth applications.
• Design and develop a serverless application for online CIR form submission and document transmission to an enterprise document management system.
• Implement metadata capture and storage in PostgreSQL RDS for audit and compliance.
• Prepare optimized SQL scripts, queries, and views for data maintenance and application integration.
• Manage system architecture, technical design, release, deployment, and other software development life-cycle documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated solutions, project planning, statements of work, and progress communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience and 3+ years developing serverless applications with Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Cognito, infrastructure as code, S3, and CloudWatch.
• 3+ years of React development with modern patterns, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, state management, responsive design, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility.
• 4+ years of Python backend development and 3+ years of PostgreSQL RDS experience, including database design, query optimization, connection pooling, and security.
• Experience with SOAP/REST integration, document processing, file upload validation, binary data processing, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, API documentation, Docker, and microservices architecture.
• 8+ years of programming experience in a team environment, with knowledge of Oracle, Java/J2EE, application servers, WebLogic, AWS, information security architectures, and Agile development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant work experience; strong communication, debugging, independent work, TDD, automated testing, Git, and Agile/Scrum skills.

Nice to have

• CMIS experience and familiarity with enterprise document management systems.
• Knowledge of SOAP/XML web services, MTOM attachments, metadata schemas, and content type management.
