Application/Automation Developer (Java/Python)

What you will do

• Provide application design guidance and consultation as an individual contributor or technical lead.
• Analyze complex business requirements and create technical specifications for applications and platforms.
• Develop complex code, scripts, and logical workflows for business application automation, including patching and re-pointing processes.
• Oversee test data preparation, program testing, debugging, systems testing, and production migration.
• Develop technical documentation, procedures, user guides, and business continuity plan updates.
• Lead projects, manage resources, and guide less experienced staff while ensuring quality, security, and compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of application development and implementation experience.
• Experience across all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.
• Strong programming experience with Java, C, C++, or .NET, plus Perl, Python, shell, or Bash scripting.
• Strong PL/SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Proficiency with UNIX and Linux operating systems.
• Must be a W-2 candidate and able to work in Fremont, California or Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Nice to have

• Experience authoring HP Operations Orchestration workflows.
• Knowledge of HP Operations Orchestration or HP Cloud Service Automation.
