Engineer II, Software Development (React)

Location: TX, United States (Hybrid). The role is primarily performed from a home office or another approved remote work environment, with occasional travel of up to 10%.

Salary: $85,400–$96,050 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and support modern web applications and services.
• Build and maintain customer-facing and internal solutions using React, Next.js, Node.js, and AWS technologies.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and design documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and follow architectural, coding, security, and defensive-programming standards.
• Provide production support, root-cause analysis, corrective action plans, monitoring response, and incident resolution.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours maintenance activities, including Sev1, Sev2, and Sev3 incidents.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with 2–5 years of professional experience on the Express web stack.
• Full-stack development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, Redis, and AWS services such as S3.
• Experience developing, supporting, and maintaining Node.js applications, including troubleshooting, defect resolution, and enhancements.
• Experience with responsive web applications, UI standards, cross-browser compatibility, common design patterns, and web application security.
• Experience with high-concurrency public web applications and the ability to understand requirements and convert them into working code.
• Must work in the TX, United States hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Bootstrap, Scrum, MVC unit testing, and AWS environments.
• Experience with highly secured enterprise applications, multi-threaded Node.js applications, and application performance optimization.
• Experience in e-commerce or back-office applications.
