Platform Software Engineer II (React)

Location: Fully remote, with approximately 10% travel for periodic in-person collaboration opportunities and business needs. An in-person interview may be required before hiring.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain internal platform tools and services with guidance from senior engineers.
• Build backend services, REST APIs, and data models supporting multiple digital products.
• Develop internal tool interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, Platform, Infrastructure, and SRE teams.
• Support monitoring, debugging, troubleshooting, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to documentation, code reviews, workflow improvements, and an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education or practical experience.
• Programming experience through internships, co-ops, academic projects, open-source contributions, or up to 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern web frameworks such as React.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, databases, software development fundamentals, and Git.
• Understanding of software testing concepts and willingness to write maintainable, well-tested code.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, curiosity, and continuous-learning skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building web applications or internal tools through internships or projects.
• Exposure to AWS, CI/CD concepts, and modern software development workflows.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Interest in developer productivity, platform engineering, or improving engineering workflows.
