User Experience Data Consultant

Location: Alexandria, Virginia; in-person work is required 2 days per week. The work location may change based on client requirements.

Salary: $80,000–$140,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop reports and dashboards in Foundry and leading data visualization platforms.
• Work with finance, procurement, IT, clients, and other cross-functional stakeholders to define reporting requirements.
• Review requirements, brief clients on project updates, and document and train users on new reports.
• Process data for dashboards and visualizations using PySpark, SQL, scripting, or low-code tools.
• Direct and review the work of Associates.
• Communicate project task status to the Team Lead and client while meeting short deadlines.

Requirements

• BA, BS, or BBA degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience with data visualization technologies such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
• Strong user experience design knowledge and excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience using PySpark, SQL, programming languages, or low-code tools to prepare data for dashboards and visualizations.
• Ability to train clients and team members on implementation and maintenance.
• Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher is required; U.S. citizenship is required for consideration.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Department of War’s War Data Platform, formerly Advana, or Palantir Foundry development.
• Certifications in Tableau, Power BI, Palantir Foundry, Microsoft Power Platform, Salesforce, or ServiceNow.
• Experience developing enterprise-platform applications and understanding application lifecycle, platform governance, and integration patterns.
• Experience with Python, SQL, TypeScript, Palantir scripting, automation, or low-code tools.
• Advanced Excel and KPI development, reporting, and tracking experience.
