Analytics Lead, Full Stack (Fintech)

Location: Remote US; most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the country of employment. New hires attend an in-person onboarding experience.

USA base pay range per year: $185,000–$245,000 in CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $164,000–$224,000 in all other U.S. states.

What you will do

• Partner with Client Success and Marketplace teams as the data subject-matter expert for Revenue segments and merchants across point-of-sale and Marketplace businesses.
• Create business cases, insights, dashboards, and experiments for external merchants, demonstrating Affirm’s value proposition and product performance.
• Analyze Revenue performance, develop recommendations, and inform segment strategy and execution.
• Standardize common analytics use cases, build analytics infrastructure, and automate analyses and dashboards for Revenue and external merchants.
• Define KPIs, benchmarks, methodologies, and data sources to generate actionable insights.
• Guide cross-functional analytics projects and experiments, monitor execution, quantify Affirm’s value to prospective merchants, and support upselling to existing merchants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an analytically driven role, such as consulting, finance, or analytics.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau.
• Demonstrated aptitude in leveraging AI tools for analytics.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to establish analytical frameworks in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to create structure, align stakeholders, and select impactful data for decision-making.
• Ability to communicate effectively and craft compelling narratives for internal and external business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organization and execution skills, including the ability to work independently and drive multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
• Track record of building successful cross-functional relationships and driving projects end to end, from strategy through implementation.
• Passion for improving the retail and lending industries, resourcefulness in finding faster ways to complete tasks, humility, and a team-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the FinTech or Payments industry.
• Prior data analytics experience for marketplace platforms.
• Understanding of or demonstrated aptitude to learn Python.
• Demonstrated aptitude in AI tools for analytics, including Cursor or Claude Code.
