Senior Account Manager I (Captive Insurance)

Location: Charleston, SC, United States; domestic travel of approximately 20% required

What you will do

• Coordinate activities across a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring appropriate resourcing and timely delivery.
• Oversee financial statement processing and reporting, regulatory compliance, audits, actuarial analyses, policy renewals, investment accounting, tax compliance, corporate governance, and internal controls.
• Peer-review financial statements and domicile regulatory reports.
• Prepare statutory financial accounting statements and file NAIC reports for risk retention groups and commercial insurance company clients.
• Prepare for and attend client Board of Director meetings while communicating with service providers and regulators.
• Support client financial audits and regulatory examinations by providing documentation and responding to account inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with captive insurance and insurance accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SAP, including their application to financial statement preparation, disclosure, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to travel domestically approximately 20% of the time.
