Facility Manager - Power Plant

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida, USA; site-based power plant role

Salary: $130,900–$187,000 USD per annum

What you will do

• Lead safe, environmentally responsible site operations and oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental programs.
• Coordinate outages, maintenance planning, staffing, budgets, and the use of regional and corporate resources.
• Drive productivity, asset management, operational discipline, quality, reliability, and employee engagement.
• Develop and execute improvement strategies using Lean and Six Sigma tools, including initiatives focused on inventory, capacity, and growth.
• Build and develop the site leadership team through performance management, goal setting, training, and organizational planning.
• Represent hirify.global with local government, community, industry groups, clients, and broader company initiatives.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive power plant or power generation experience.
• Previous management experience in a power generation environment, including waste-to-energy, coal, biomass, nuclear, or combined-cycle plants.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, project planning, cost control, and program management.
• Experience implementing HS&E programs and business initiatives.
• Experience using Six Sigma tools; Lean, Black Belt, or Green Belt certification is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred, along with strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in paper mills, power plants, or chemical manufacturing.
• Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Green Belt certification.
• Veteran or transitioning military experience.
