Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Belvidere, Illinois, USA; onsite at a new manufacturing facility

Salary: $78,200–$117,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for short-term and long-term incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team, including coaching, development, performance management, and staffing.
• Optimize preventive maintenance for property, plant, equipment, and maintenance shop operations.
• Repair or replace in-process production equipment and operate maintenance shop equipment.
• Weld and fabricate machines, guarding, structures, and holding mechanisms.
• Develop machine designs, recommend practical technology improvements, and estimate equipment, installation, labor, and material costs.
• Coordinate scheduled preventive-maintenance servicing with outside contractors, manage consumables, and act as the SAP super user for the assigned functional area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in an operational environment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams, developing people, or organizing tasks.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, machine functionality, drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to communicate transparently, manage conflict, delegate, provide feedback, and build effective teams.
• Ability to work in a physically active manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting 25–50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or another ERP system such as Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Formal leadership or team development training.
• Experience with Lean or Demand Flow principles.
