Location: Bowie, Maryland, United States — onsite at 3300 Crain Highway

Hourly wage: $27.00–$37.00 per hour, plus potential performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory control, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Lead customer service standards and resolve customer complaints and issues within company guidelines.
• Oversee community outreach, asset protection, safety, quality assurance, and compliance activities.
• Hire, train, mentor, supervise, and recognize Vision Center Associates.
• Consult with customers, recommend eyewear, take measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain confidential records, perform minor frame repairs, and maintain optical equipment.
• Coordinate operational assignments, stakeholder relationships, performance goals, action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or qualifying combinations of retail, supervisory, general work, and optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable Maryland laws, regulations, and rules.
• Experience supervising Associates is preferred.
