Senior Counsel – Lemon Law Litigation (Remote)

Location: Northern California, California, with a Novato office and matters throughout Northern California and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Remote, hybrid, or onsite work options are available. An active California Bar license is required.

Base salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Annual billable-hours bonuses are also available.

What you will do

• Independently manage Lemon Law and related consumer litigation matters from discovery through trial.
• Develop case themes and strategy, evaluate exposure, and prepare cases for mediation and trial.
• Handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, substantive motion practice, and trials.
• Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys across experience levels and provide leadership to less experienced attorneys.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in California.
• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• 8+ years of litigation experience, including deposition and trial preparation.
• 5+ years of experience handling Lemon Law defense matters.
• Experience managing full case handling responsibilities, including all aspects of discovery and trial.
• Experience with time-management systems and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive warranty litigation, consumer litigation, or related complex civil litigation.
• Experience representing manufacturers, automotive companies, dealerships, or corporate defendants.
• Experience with CRLA, tenant advocacy, housing litigation, general liability defense, or insurance defense.
