Employment Counsel - Remote and Reduced Hours (Labor & Employment)

Location: Remote; candidates must reside in Southern California

Salary: $165,000–$181,500 annually

What you will do

• Defend employers in single- and multi-plaintiff employment litigation for major California clients.
• Develop defense strategies and conduct legal research.
• Draft pleadings and dispositive motions.
• Manage discovery activities, including motion practice.
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and trials requiring in-person presence.
• Collaborate with attorneys, administrative professionals, and clients while maintaining strong responsiveness and accountability.

Requirements

• Residence in Southern California is required.
• Active California bar license in good standing is required, along with licensure in the state of residence.
• At least 2 years of relevant litigation experience in-house or at a law firm.
• Excellent analytical, legal writing, organizational, multitasking, and client-service skills.
• Strong self-motivation, accountability, responsiveness, and interpersonal skills.
