Security Operations Center Operator (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York City, NY; fully on-site

What you will do

• Monitor CCTV, video analytics, physical access control, visitor management, and alarm systems across supported venues and facilities.
• Conduct social media and open-source intelligence monitoring to identify emerging threats, risks, and reputational concerns.
• Maintain situational awareness of venue operations, local events, weather, and other factors affecting security.
• Verify employee status, issue and disable access badges, track persons of interest, and coordinate security-related information.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls, dispatch security, emergency response, facilities, police, fire, and EMS resources, and escalate incidents according to established protocols.
• Document incidents and communications, prepare reports, troubleshoot security platforms, support technology testing, and generate metrics for security leadership.

Requirements

• Up to 1 year of related experience or 1–2 years in a security operations center, dispatch center, or similar real-time monitoring environment.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Security Management, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring systems, including basic troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, think critically, multitask, and maintain a professional customer-service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, split days off, and a 24 X 7 schedule on-site.
