Coordinator, Security Control Center

Location: Dearborn, Michigan, United States; onsite at the MI-Admin Office Building. Schedule: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., every other weekend and every other holiday; additional shifts may be required.

Hourly compensation: $24.31–$26.00 per hour, with annual performance-based bonus potential.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily control center operations across CCTV, access control, fire and burglar alarms, radio dispatch, telephones, and public address systems.
• Monitor security systems and dispatch security personnel to reported or discovered incidents.
• Administer card access, CCTV, branch alarm, and security information management systems, including programming and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, upgrades, and expansions of security equipment and systems.
• Maintain activity logs, dispatch forms, reports, databases, and other confidential security records.
• Support operator training and certification, radio traffic control, clerical administration, and other duties assigned by security management.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a police, fire, security/police department dispatcher, or control center operator.
• Operational knowledge of access control, video identification badges, fire and burglar alarms, and CCTV systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook, as well as IRIMS and related database systems.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, report-writing, telephone, public relations, and customer service skills.
• Ability to evaluate situations, prioritize service needs, make sound decisions, and remain composed under intense pressure.
• Ability to perform the physical activities required for the role, including walking, standing, sitting, hearing, lifting, carrying, climbing, reaching, seeing, talking, and writing.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in law enforcement or a related field.
