Mechanical Claims Adjuster (Automotive)

What you will do

• Adjust and process automotive finance and insurance claims from dealers, repair facilities, and customers.
• Verify coverage, agreement details, time and mileage limits, claim history, and potential red flags.
• Review and negotiate labor, parts, rental, towing, sublet repair, and sales tax costs before authorizing claims.
• Answer questions about coverage, benefits, maintenance requirements, and claim denials, and help identify honoring repair facilities.
• Dispatch independent adjusters for field vehicle inspections and evaluate their reports.
• Communicate claim results, identify process or dealer issues, recommend solutions, and refer disputed claims.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree.
• 1–3 years of required experience.
• Adjuster license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, communicate with stakeholders, and use computer and office productivity devices.

Nice to have

• ASE certifications in at least four areas of technical service.
