Bodily Injury Claims Specialist

Location: Duluth, Georgia, United States; initial training is in person, followed by a merit-based work-from-home program as defined by leadership

What you will do

• Investigate bodily injury claims by phone, email, mail, and on site.
• Assemble facts, determine coverage and legal liability, evaluate losses, and make payments according to claim decisions.
• Interpret insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to assess coverage.
• Participate in claim negotiations, settlements, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Meet with claimants and other involved parties, including outside the office, and provide customer service to agents and insureds.
• Maintain confidential information, support outside counsel selection, and keep required adjuster licenses current.

Requirements

• At least three years of insurance claims experience.
• Ability to organize investigations involving complex issues and reach logical, timely decisions.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate policy language.
• Ability to communicate appropriate claim-handling techniques to participants in the claim process.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Ability to maintain punctual attendance at a company-approved work location.
