Software Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three days in the office each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States. Relocation to Denver is supported with a relocation bonus.

Salary: $145,000–$170,000 base compensation annually, plus variable compensation and equity.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional engineering squads building products and features for a consumer platform used by millions of people.
• Partner with Product Management to prioritize, scope, and plan business milestones.
• Build technical rollout plans, maintain group roadmaps, and provide transparent delivery progress.
• Coach and mentor engineers, support career development, and build a positive engineering culture.
• Ensure squads have the people and technical support needed to deliver engineering solutions.
• Guide responsible AI adoption, use AI to build solutions and production systems, and adapt agile processes and metrics to AI-enabled development.

Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience or 2+ years of proven technical leadership experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with agile software development and management.
• Exposure to multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Ability to manage engineers with different skill sets and evaluate the responsible use of AI in software development.
