GSOC Operator (WIDS)

Location: Livingston, New Jersey, United States. This is a 24/7 on-site role with rotating night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Salary: $65,000–$95,000 base salary per year, plus eligible bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Continuously monitor Genetec Security Center, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm, environmental, and life-safety systems.
• Validate alarms, troubleshoot first-line issues, escalate system faults, and coordinate restoration of monitoring capabilities.
• Process approved access and credential requests, conduct identity verification, and perform authorized after-hours virtual escorts.
• Manage physical-security, life-safety, cyber-physical, and monitoring-degradation incidents using Ontic, PagerDuty, and escalation workflows.
• Coordinate onsite response, CCTV review, access-control correlation, evidence preservation, incident handovers, and post-incident reviews.
• Provide radio, emergency, threat, weather, and situational-awareness communications while maintaining accurate logs, reports, advisories, and incident timelines.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a GSOC or PSOC environment, dispatch center, emergency operations center, data center security operation, critical-infrastructure monitoring environment, or a related role.
• Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, incident management, and emergency communications systems.
• Experience with Genetec Security Center or a comparable security platform.
• Experience with incident-management and collaboration tools such as Ontic, Jira, Slack, or Google Workspace.
• Ability to assess risk, prioritize competing events, make timely decisions, escalate appropriately, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Export-control eligibility is required: applicants must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible to access the controlled information or obtain the required authorization.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent industry experience in security management, information technology, criminal justice, or emergency management.
• DHS Incident Command System training, Genetec certification, ASIS PSP or CPP, or related security certifications.
• Experience in data centers, corporate security, emergency operations, public-safety dispatch, or critical infrastructure.
• Experience with PagerDuty, Everbridge, Wave PTX, HID Origo, ClearID, Alcatraz, BioConnect, credentialing, biometric access control, or key management.
• Exposure to WIDS, RF threats, unauthorized-device investigations, or the Bastille Wireless Airspace Cybersecurity Platform.
