Project Cost Analyst (Associate, Analyst, or Senior Analyst)

Salary: $62,000–$144,900 per year

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and analyze project budgets, cost forecasts, cost performance baselines, and Estimate at Completion metrics.
• Support cost management throughout project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout.
• Integrate cost management with project scope, schedule, risk, quality, and contract management.
• Apply earned value management, schedule analysis, and quantitative and qualitative risk analysis techniques.
• Support contract commercial management, including payment processing, performance assessments, compliance reviews, and forecasting.
• Provide cost reporting, analysis, and decision support to project managers, leadership, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate level: high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel or equivalent software for data management, analysis, and reporting.
• Project Analyst level: 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, project controls, project management, accounting, construction, engineering, or a related field.
• Senior level: 7+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, financial analysis, capital project management, construction management, or similar disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, construction management, engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred for Project Analyst and Senior levels.
• Demonstrated Excel and reporting proficiency, with experience supporting project budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Valid driver’s license required upon hire for the Associate level, and legal authorization to work in the United States is required for all candidates.

Nice to have

• Experience in large industrial, utility, energy, infrastructure, or capital project environments.
• Knowledge of AACE, PMI, or construction management standards and methodologies.
• Experience with project controls, forecasting, scheduling, cost management, and risk management tools.
• PMP, CCP, EVP, PSP, or similar professional certification.
