Senior Analyst, Project Cost, Transmission

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Availability to work up to five days in the office may be required for emergencies, training, business needs, or policy changes.

Annual salary: $115,730–$128,590, commensurate with experience, plus potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Monitor and report project budgets, contracts, cash flow, variances, trends, and completion costs.
• Perform cost forecasting, cost control, productivity analysis, and special studies for transmission projects and contractors.
• Review bid specifications, change orders, invoices, vendor and contractor performance, and material contracts.
• Prepare project work orders and purchase orders and coordinate with accounting, tax, purchasing, stores, and project management teams.
• Benchmark project costs against other utilities and provide cost, labor-hour, quantity, and productivity analysis for planning and scheduling.
• Maintain a Project Cost Commitment Program comparing actual and estimated purchase-order costs.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in cost analysis is required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required; a finance degree is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating estimates, budgets, cash flows, plans, schedules, and project costs.
• Knowledge of cost and schedule specifications, contract administration techniques, contract types, and contract applicability.
• Ability to prepare clear reports and coordinate with management, project teams, finance, accounting, purchasing, and support personnel.
• Eversource accounting methods, budgeting systems, UVLs, Microsoft software, and Excel are desirable; familiarity with the Project Management Institute's Body of Knowledge is highly desirable.
