Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-Cullen HQ); the position is based at the manufacturing site.

Builds engineered and manufactured packaged modular systems for data centers, power, and commercial and industrial utility applications, with manufacturing facilities in Houston and international delivery capabilities.

What you will do

• Review drawings and confirm material availability before releasing orders for manufacturing.
• Coordinate production, engineering, purchasing, and scheduling activities to support on-time delivery.
• Stage and complete materials before job release and requisition additional materials as needed.
• Track and report progress against internal, customer, and vendor schedules.
• Support the shop foreman with shortages and material requirements, including in-house expediting.
• Assist with production scheduling, material scheduling, process improvement, and waste elimination initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar production planning position within the industry.
• Four-year technical degree or six years of equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of data collection systems, data analysis, evaluation, and PC applications including MS Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with JIT, MRP, CRP, Lean, ISO 9000 or other quality management structures is desired.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM certification.
• Spanish language skills.
• Experience with Great Plains and network environments.
