TL;DR
Linux System Engineer (AWS/Identity and Access Management): Supporting and improving a mission-critical enterprise identity and access management platform across multiple operational environments with an accent on Linux systems administration, cloud infrastructure, networking, and security compliance. Focus on resolving customer-facing access issues, automating operational tasks, performing root cause analysis, and maintaining high system availability.
Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required; willingness and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph are required.

What you will do
- Provide Tier II support for customer-facing issues in an enterprise identity and access management environment.
- Perform root cause analysis, mitigate operational problems, and communicate findings to development teams.
- Review user metrics, system health, and platform performance to implement proactive availability measures.
- Develop scripts and use playbook-based automation to streamline operational tasks.
- Manage COTS and GOTS software products across multiple environments.
- Coordinate with Enterprise Services, customers, and external technical teams to maintain security compliance and resolve access issues.
Requirements
- Strong Linux system administration and infrastructure management experience.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, including S3, EC2, and Reserved Instances.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues across OSI layers 4–7.
- Experience creating systems engineering documentation, including network and data flow diagrams.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket in Agile environments.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification, active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with identity federation, SSO, authorization technologies, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, Kerberos, and smart card/CAC authentication.
- Experience with Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Unified Directory, Oracle WebLogic, LDAP, Kubernetes, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with the ELK stack, cloud architectures beyond AWS, cross-domain architectures, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management processes.
