Principal, Strategy and Transformation (Fintech)

Location: Scottsdale, with a hybrid work model. Positions in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York follow a hybrid model. Candidates must independently be eligible to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay: $154,000–$193,000 per year for Phoenix, Chicago, and Washington, DC; $186,000–$232,000 per year for New York and San Francisco. Additional discretionary incentive plan and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Translate enterprise and Risk priorities into strategies, roadmaps, initiatives, and execution plans.
• Lead Risk workstreams for large, complex, cross-functional enterprise programs from planning and design through implementation and execution.
• Develop integrated workplans covering deliverables, milestones, dependencies, decision points, owners, and success measures.
• Design and mature Risk frameworks, programs, capabilities, governance structures, controls, and operating models.
• Identify execution risks, constraints, dependencies, and emerging issues, facilitating resolution and escalating matters when needed.
• Prepare executive-ready recommendations, presentations, and program updates while aligning senior stakeholders across functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, Program Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 15 years of experience or a demonstrated portfolio consistent with the role.
• Experience in risk management, enterprise or functional strategy, strategic program leadership, transformation, or business operations.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and establishing governance, milestones, dependencies, success measures, and executive reporting.
• Strong structured problem-solving, analytical, presentation, written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• U.S. work eligibility is required; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable. Background and drug screening are required.

• Experience leading Risk workstreams in large-scale enterprise programs or business transformations.
• Experience designing or implementing Risk frameworks, governance structures, capabilities, or operating models.
• Experience in payments, banking, fintech, financial services technology, or another regulated environment.
• Experience working with first- and second-line Risk functions or external partners.
• Relevant Risk management or program management certification.
