Claims Corrections Specialist (Medical Billing)

What you will do

• Correct charges affected by primary, secondary, or tertiary insurance changes, billing errors, and payment errors.
• Resolve payer file rejections, insurance changes, and denials promptly.
• Interpret insurance payments, denials, reprocesses, and explanations of benefits.
• Submit corrected claims according to payer guidelines.
• Track projects, errors, insurance changes, and issue trends.
• Collaborate with the RCM Manager and revenue cycle teams to maintain efficient workflows and communication.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of cash posting and/or medical billing experience in a physician practice setting required.
• One year of directly related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing, HCPCS, CPT, ICD codes, and revenue cycle management.
• Accurate, high-speed alphanumeric data entry and the ability to meet production objectives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, billing systems, and medical information systems; strong communication and customer service skills.
