Coding Analyst (Oncology)

Location: Hybrid position in Richardson, Texas, with regular presence required at the employee site. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexible hours.

What you will do

• Review coding change requests related to CPT/HCPCS, diagnoses, modifiers, place of service, authorizations, units of measure, MUEs, and NDC codes.
• Abstract clinical information from medical records and provider documentation to assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Review and correct coding errors after claim processing or denials and refile corrected claims with payers.
• Apply LCD/NCD policies, CMS guidelines, reimbursement rules, and coding tools such as Optum Encoder.
• Maintain coding accuracy of at least 95% based on internal quality reviews and support the compliance program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the AAPC Certified Professional Coder examination.
• At least three years of medical coding experience.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work in person at the Richardson employee site during regularly scheduled business hours.

Nice to have

• Prior oncology experience.
• Prior medical billing experience.
