Civil Project Manager / Engineer

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Hybrid and remote work options are available based on project and client needs. Employees residing in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, and PR cannot be hired at this time. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application.

Base compensation: $100,000–$140,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain relationships with municipal, public-sector, and private clients throughout Nebraska.
• Identify, pursue, and win new civil engineering project opportunities.
• Lead projects from pursuit through design and construction while managing budgets, schedules, scopes, and client expectations.
• Prepare project approaches, scopes of work, fee proposals, and client solutions.
• Represent hirify.global at client, public, industry, and professional meetings.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff and collaborate across disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license in Nebraska or the ability to obtain Nebraska licensure.
• Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering projects and client relationships.
• Proven ability to develop business opportunities, prepare proposals, and win work.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and multidisciplinary team leadership skills.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering consulting.
• Experience with municipal, public-sector, transportation, water resources, public works, or land development clients.
• Experience leading pursuits, interviews, and negotiations.
• Supervisory or staff mentoring experience.
• Established relationships in the Nebraska engineering and development community.
