Plant Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Rockwall, Texas, United States; on-site bakery operations with approximately 10–15% travel for meetings, Factory Acceptance Testing, and benchmarking.

Salary: $135,100–$189,100 annually

What you will do

• Lead bakery operations and execute the Operations Excellence Playbook across production, maintenance, sanitation, and shipping.
• Set strategic priorities and deliver KPIs across people, asset reliability, quality, safety, service, and cost.
• Develop Department Leaders through onboarding, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Lead quality, food safety, environmental compliance, and the Safety Integrated Management System.
• Partner with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to implement profit-driving and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the bakery’s financial health, including annual budget creation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, food science, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in the food industry.
• Experience leading safety initiatives that support a zero-injury culture.
• Strong organizational, communication, participative-management, and leadership skills.
• Track record of improving operations while maintaining day-to-day performance.
• In-depth knowledge of baking science and technology, process control, improvement tools, and statistical process programs.
