Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $118,265.81–$168,528.81 per year, plus a 15% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Manage daily production department operations and ensure safety, quality, throughput, and food safety requirements are met.
• Build and adjust production schedules with planning teams to meet internal and customer requirements.
• Lead supervisors and team members through hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, equipment improvements, capital upgrades, and process technology initiatives.
• Analyze production, downtime, attendance, overtime, and quality metrics; prepare reports for the Plant Director.
• Coordinate with planning, maintenance, quality, raw-material, and plant leadership teams to improve efficiency and prevent shortages or non-conforming products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related vocational studies.
• At least 6 years of experience in manufacturing or a similar field and 6 years of experience in the position or a comparable role.
• At least 4 years of experience managing people or projects.
• Understanding of production processes and controls.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
• Experience may combine education and work experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing or related field experience.
• 10+ years of experience in the position and 6 years of experience managing people or projects.
