GIS Tech Spec, Spec

Location: Pomona, California, US; hybrid work with required reporting to an SCE facility and residence in California. The role may require extended work at alternate locations. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $38.46–$57.60 per hour

What you will do

• Interpret and analyze geospatial data sources to extract relevant information.
• Perform asset data remediation, quality control checks, and updates to GIS records and mapping products.
• Evaluate potential project sites and assess feasibility using GIS tools and techniques.
• Generate and maintain operations maps and detailed facilities records across desktop, mobile, and cloud applications.
• Support field investigations, construction activities, and GPS data collection.
• Develop and improve tools, procedures, documentation, and reporting for GIS quality control and mapping standards.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in GIS and/or data analysis.
• Ability to work safely and independently while making effective decisions.
• Strong ethics, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to protect sensitive customer, proprietary, medical, financial, and cybersecurity information.
• Ability to work and reside in California and report to the Pomona facility on designated days.

Nice to have

• Experience interpreting work order maps, field notes, civil drawings, land descriptions, survey drawings, or similar mapping materials.
• Experience with relational databases and SAP.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Experience using new technology and innovating to improve work performance.
