Lead GIS Operations Analyst (GIS)

Location: Hybrid or in-office in Rochester, New York, United States

Salary: $79,680–$99,600 per year, depending on experience and location

What you will do

• Update and maintain gas and electric distribution and transmission GIS models in line with asset rules and operating procedures.
• Verify SAP master data and work sketches, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with departments to resolve data issues.
• Perform quality-control checks of GIS models and maintain geospatial data repositories.
• Analyze GIS data and processes and develop solutions for operational and customer needs.
• Provide oversight, training, and mentoring for GIS operations personnel, analysts, and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a CADD/GIS-related field, or 5 years of GIS data analysis and editing experience, or 3–5 years as an hirify.global GIS Analyst.
• Demonstrated proficiency with available CAD and GIS systems.
• Ability to analyze GIS data and implement GIS solutions independently.
• Ability to train others in GIS topics.
• Working knowledge of gas and electric systems and engineering and construction policies and procedures.
