TL;DR
GIS Analyst T&D (ArcGIS): Developing and maintaining geospatial data, maps, and spatial deliverables for high-voltage transmission line and right-of-way construction projects with an accent on data quality, field coordination, and construction mapping. Focus on spatial analysis, integrating survey and design data, managing ArcGIS platforms, and producing as-built records.
Location: Plover, Wisconsin, United States. Onsite work in a company-designated office or field location; ability to travel 25% is required.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain GIS maps and databases for high-voltage transmission line and right-of-way construction projects.
- Produce maps, exhibits, spatial analyses, and other deliverables for internal, external, permitting, and field teams.
- Manage and quality-check data from surveys, LiDAR, aerial imagery, and CAD conversions.
- Coordinate with survey, engineering, project management, right-of-way, environmental, and client GIS teams.
- Use ArcGIS Field Maps for field data collection, verification, and real-time construction updates.
- Support design revisions, as-built documentation, and final record mapping.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of GIS experience focused on utility, transmission, or linear infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online, geodatabases, feature classes, and geoprocessing tools.
- Knowledge of coordinate systems, projections, datum transformations, transmission construction, right-of-way fundamentals, and land ownership data.
- Ability to interpret survey plats, legal descriptions, construction drawings, and one-line diagrams.
- Strong data accuracy, QA/QC, communication, and MS Office skills.
- Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with an EPC contractor, transmission contractor, or utility.
- GISP or Esri technical certification.
- CAD experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Knowledge of NERC/FERC transmission standards, NESC structure classifications, or utility asset management frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
