GIS Specialist (Hybrid Eligible)

Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee, USA. Onsite presence is required, with a hybrid arrangement potentially allowing periodic work from home while reporting onsite weekly and regularly.

What you will do

• Serve as the functional system administrator for ArcGIS Enterprise, including Portal, Server, Data Store, applications, and datasets.
• Design, develop, publish, and maintain web maps, web applications, web scenes, dashboards, mobile apps, and GIS services.
• Administer enterprise geodatabases, including schema design, SQL views, privileges, versioning, replicas, and optimization.
• Integrate CAD, BIM, tabular, and other datasets while maintaining coordinate systems, projections, metadata, and data governance standards.
• Develop Python scripts, Arcade expressions, attribute rules, batch scripts, and scheduled automated processes.
• Collaborate with managers, process owners, IT staff, and end users to prioritize enhancements, troubleshoot issues, provide support, and coordinate software procurement and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, computer science, engineering, natural sciences, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant GIS experience.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise, including developing and maintaining web maps and applications from enterprise data.
• Experience with GIS data analysis, data cleaning and curation, and integration of multiple data formats, including CAD.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases for GIS workflows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an HSPD-12 PIV badge and pass the required federal background investigation; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• Experience as a technical lead, system administrator, or architect for an enterprise GIS environment.
• Advanced experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder, Dashboards, ArcGIS Server, Portal administration, Network Analyst, GeoEvent Manager, and enterprise geodatabases.
• Experience integrating GIS with asset management or other enterprise business systems, and using Python or Arcade for automation and analysis.
• Customer-facing technical support, training, documentation, prioritization, and stakeholder collaboration experience.
