TL;DR
Intern, GIS Analyst (GIS/geospatial technologies): Supporting enterprise GIS data, spatial datasets, mapping applications, and field asset information for natural gas pipeline operations with an accent on data quality, spatial analysis, and regulatory compliance. Focus on creating maps and dashboards, validating and migrating data, documenting GIS workflows, and supporting engineering, integrity management, environmental, and operational projects.

What you will do
- Support the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of enterprise GIS data.
- Create, edit, and maintain spatial datasets for pipeline, facility, and land-related assets.
- Produce maps, exhibits, dashboards, and reports for operational and business needs.
- Perform spatial analysis for engineering, integrity management, environmental, and operational projects.
- Validate, research, reconcile, convert, and migrate data between GIS and enterprise systems.
- Document GIS workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams on GIS-based solutions, regulatory compliance, asset management, and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old by the start of the summer internship and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 after each completed semester or term.
- Junior or senior student on track to graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with or willingness to learn GIS software and geospatial technologies.
- Valid driver's license and insurability under company policy are required.
