Engineer II- Product (SERDES)

Annual base salary: $76,000–$114,000 USD

What you will do

• Characterize, analyze, and debug high-speed SERDES architectures in collaboration with mixed-signal designers.
• Drive R&D efforts on next-generation SERDES mixed-signal designs and electrical performance.
• Develop automated test scripts and custom firmware for SERDES performance tuning.
• Design high-performance PCBs and laboratory hardware for electrical compliance testing.
• Investigate circuit failures, identify root causes, and translate findings into design improvements.
• Write characterization plans and technical reports to support design decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals, circuit theory, and high-speed signals.
• Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, BERTs, and VNAs.
• Hardware experience with high-speed analog circuits in a laboratory or test environment.
• Familiarity with script-based test automation using Python or other languages, plus strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
