Location: San Antonio, Texas, USA; remote work available. Occasional work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.

Salary: $77,500–$176,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Train, test, deploy, and maintain production AI models that learn from organizational data.
• Develop AI-enabled applications using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.
• Build secure enterprise data foundations on cloud platforms such as AWS, including governed ingestion, file exchange, metadata, and reusable data products.
• Design event-driven integrations and workflow automation using asynchronous messaging and audit logging.
• Implement MLOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, automated testing, and model evaluation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners to support Air Force business operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building production-grade software in Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Experience with APIs and data services, including FastAPI, Flask, REST, GraphQL, or SQL.
• Experience developing and deploying LLM, RAG, and agentic workflow applications.
• Experience with enterprise cloud data foundations and event-driven integrations.
• Knowledge of MLOps or DevSecOps practices.
• Secret clearance and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial or 3D data, IoT telemetry, sensor streams, or edge-to-cloud data flows.
• Experience deploying software, data, or ML pipelines in disconnected, air-gapped, or classified environments.
• Experience with cross-domain data handling, RMF, or STIG-aligned delivery.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and secure-by-design practices.
• TS/SCI clearance.
