Manager V, Physicist/Scientist (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; travel up to 10% of the time; relocation eligible

Salary: $156,000–$214,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards

What you will do

• Lead multiple teams of engineers and scientists developing novel subsystems for electrochemical wafer and panel processing.
• Drive iterative literature review, engineering design, computer modeling, experimental testing, and reliability analysis.
• Develop hardware, automation, fluid, and process subsystems for automated semiconductor wet-process tools.
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, controls, process, and software engineering activities during new product development.
• Define process requirements, testing procedures, and software specifications from prototypes through early-phase testing.
• Work with patent counsel to prepare and implement intellectual property filings.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.
• 10 or more years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
• Expertise in electrochemical and wet chemical processing, including electroplating, etching, rinsing, and drying.
• Leadership and management experience coordinating multiple project teams and allocating resources.
• Experience with multiphysics simulation using COMSOL and ANSYS, as well as MATLAB, CFD, or FEA methods.
• Ability to work in Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; travel up to 10% required.
