Maintenance Millwright (Industrial Manufacturing)

Location: Alliston, Ontario, Canada; onsite continental night shift from 18:30 to 06:30

Salary: $44.00 CAD per hour, plus a possible shift premium for eligible hours

What you will do

• Respond to equipment breakdown calls as the primary or backup millwright.
• Complete planned work orders and report equipment conditions and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery across mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo systems.
• Fabricate, install, service, and modify specialized equipment and machine components using blueprints or sketches.
• Perform precision machining and operate lathes, mills, drills, saws, surface grinders, and welding equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems, including shop fabrication tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid provincial Industrial Millwright Mechanic Licence 433A and proof of apprenticeship.
• PLC knowledge and advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for identifying root causes of complex machine failures.
• Experience reading drawings, blueprints, and technical system documents.
• Competence in lathe operation, milling, surface grinding, machining layout and design, fabrication, and stainless-steel/TIG welding.
• Forklift and Skyjack certification, basic MS Office proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
