Space Systems Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working when possible

What you will do

• Manage technical aspects of active antenna and on-board data-handling sub-systems and equipment.
• Define and maintain technical requirements for digital on-board sub-systems, equipment, and boards.
• Review supplier hardware, FPGA, PCB, and technical documentation designs.
• Define data-bus protocols, processor-load and memory budgets, electrical interfaces, power budgets, harness, and EMC aspects.
• Develop verification and validation strategies, test specifications, integration activities, and technical review documentation.
• Coordinate with procurement, AIT, quality, software, and other engineering disciplines across the full product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in space projects, space digital electronics design and testing, requirements management, and subcontractor technical management.
• Advanced English and advanced Spanish.
• Experience with ESA standards, including ECSS.
• Ability to prepare technical specifications, verification documentation, presentations, and supplier reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with space microprocessor or SoC computer hardware and space FPGA design.
• Experience with DOORS, LTspice or PSpice, MATLAB, ALTIUM, and Python.
• Experience in power electronics design and EMC engineering.
