Aerodynamics Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe, Spain; on-site position

What you will do

• Design and optimize external aircraft shapes and develop aerodynamic models covering performance, handling qualities, and steady and unsteady loads.
• Generate aerodynamic databases using experimental and CFD data, and apply numerical and experimental prediction tools.
• Contribute to aircraft aerodynamic and flight-performance requirements within time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Develop and maintain aerodynamics technologies, methods, tools, and technical expertise throughout aircraft program life cycles.
• Participate in wind tunnel test campaigns and safe separation analysis.
• Collaborate with flight physics disciplines, including structures, loads, stability and control, and mass properties, as well as international research and partner organizations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering; a PhD is valuable.
• At least 5 years of experience in aerodynamic design and characterization.
• Strong experience with meshing, numerical aerodynamic prediction tools, and aerodynamic databases based on experimental and CFD data.
• Strong experience with CAD tools.
• Advanced English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with wind tunnel testing and safe separation analysis.
• Knowledge of Python and MATLAB.
• Knowledge of German and/or French.
